Grab WinMTR.  Put it on the workstation, point it at the server, leave
it running.  It will tell you if packet loss is occurring.  On a LAN,
you should get no more than 1% packet loss, if that.

Any loss is grounds to investigate; anything over 1% is grounds to
squawk the LAN.
