In the relative spacial/temporal region of

Threaten to counter-sue for interfering with her business by withholding
payment, not to mention filing a frivolous lawsuit. Depending what the
arrangement actually was, maybe there's breach of contract in there
somewhere as well. IANAL, but it seems he has zero high ground from which
to attack, from what I've seen posted. Doesn't stop people from doing it
though.

Some people will do anything to have it both ways--regardless of the facts.
That's how we have both AGW -and- an impending ice age, simultaneously.
The facts never got in the way of a good tantrum, in my observation. Hell,
I've been guilty of that myself--but I'll back down if proved wrong. Some
people you can't reason with, though.
