The 2 major "announcements" that were made was fpXML and an interface for
running fp on portable devices.

As for fpXML, at this point it is just for output.  No coding needed to
output xml.  However, can using processing for a low level xml output.
Similar nomenclature to odbc.  They are still working on the import
routines.

The portable interface has 2 pieces, a server and a client.  It will allow
fp to run on some portable devices.  You will need to load the client.  For
now this is Windows only.  Once this has been completed, we were advised
that they would start working on a Java version which would run on all
platforms.

We were questioned about fpXML as to whether to release just the export side
first and then the import or release it when both sides were ready.
