Ken,
I think you are confusing me with someone else.
I remember seeing the beta problem awhile back on the Fplist. But it was not
me.
I downloaded the license file from the site.
I only have one license file. 35 user 5.6

I sent an e-mail on 11/8 to fpsupport at fptech.com; subject "license"
I did not get a response, so I thought I would try the list.

As I recall, the problem you had was that, after the crash, you somehow
loaded a 5.6 beta license onto that system. As you may recall, the message
you posted to the mailing list said that licinfo showed:
> CUSTOMER
> Name: Beta Testing
> Serial number: 99999999-3
[...]
> PRODUCTS
> Name: FULLDEV
> Version: 5.6.beta1

Also, there were delays in responding to you because (1) you initially
posted to the filePro mailing list and not to fpsupport, and (2) you then
sent e-mail directly to Ray (who was out to lunch) and again not to
fpsupport.
As I recall, once you downloaded the license file again (Ray made a new one,
just to make sure that it would have a different checksum, as you had noted
something about identical checksums) and put it in place, everything was
fine.
What happened to your original, valid license file, I do not know, but you
apparently somehow overwrote it with the 5.6 beta license.
