A half-compelling case -for- the license manager.

As much as most of us hate license managers, I just learned about something
of which I wasn't previously aware.

It appears, if I was informed correctly, that you can have the license
manager serve multiple machines, and the seats are issued rather like DHCP
addresses are leased...dynamically across machines. So if I was told
correctly, you can have one machine using 6 seats and another using 10, or
they might be 4 and 12 or 11 and 5, etc.

Assuming that's true, that's actually a selling point for the license
manager that might make it a bit more attractive.

Of course, in my ideal world, there are no license managers because
companies actually trust their customers rather than treating them like
criminals in advance, and treat them with a bit of dignity. But that's a
whole other discussion.

But it's at least a mitigating point if it "-has-" to be there.
