I've never found a way to do it in *nix, and to my knowledge that part
isn't supported like it is in DOS/Win. I do believe you're right about
that. It was all or nothing last time I tried.
(I just hated having to paint over all the bloody whitespace too. Grrr.
If it's -converting- a colour screen, then -convert- the damned thing, as
in make the colours whatever is actually set. Tediously over-laborious,
the way it is.)
