Yes, the wrong permissions definitely took the index off of the list
in cabe on my Unix 5.14. So far, that's the only way I can
reproduce. And it seems that having one with bad perms prevents
cabe from seeing any other indexes past the one that's bad.
Mark - not sure what you mean by "restart of cabe." In the case where
I add an index to a file while I am in cabe against the file: then,
in the cabe process, if I go out to the cabe menu where I can pick
a different table for the same file, or even go to another file and
another table and then come back, then that would not update the
index list for the file I started - I would have to completely exit
cabe to dpromenu or whatever was calling cabe to get an updated
index list.
