     Yes, that's entirely possible.  I initially tried to do different sleep
or wait functions, followed by various "positive" screen redraw functions.
So far, I haven't come up with anything that's easy to implement and works
100% of the time.  For example, the "clear ("11","6"); display" worked on
those screens where I have room at the bottom.

     It's not the end of the world if this doesn't get solved.  I'm mostly
throwing it out to the list to see if anybody else has seen the problem and
can suggest a fix.

     The problem is MORE likely to happen under heavy load, although users
have said they've seen it when the system doesn't seem to be slow, like in
the evening. Of course, even in the evening, it's difficult to say that the
system didn't hit a momentary heavy load.  I've asked the users to log the
date and time of each occurrence for a while. The easy fix might be to
simply tell the customer to "throw faster hardware at the problem..."
