This ain't Windows. Unless you're swapping or were memory starved to begin with, 
you ain't gonna see much of anything. OSR5 isn't that smart on it's own.

I *know* that I saw significant speed up on identical hardware running FreeBSD 
vs OSR5, and others can chime in with Linux and OSR6 stories.

You have a three year old server with I am guessing 333mhz bus. Most new servers 
now come with 1333mhz bus, and that is where the speedup has come lately in servers.

Makes me kinda sick that the server I just bought benchmarks about 3 times 
faster and it has a 2.0 Ghz processor vs. the 2.4 Xeon the current one has.

And the software questions: "are you using indexes instead of squential scans 
wearever possible?" Are you using -j with -s style selection sets?
Are you using self-index lookups for your sort_selection tables?
