Well, so he did.  I guess my potential replies to being called on this are:

A) "I said OS, meaning -OPERATING- system, emphasis on 'operating.'"
B) "Yes, but what -real- OS are you running?"
C) "Your server is wearing THAT?!"
D) "New company rule--no replies to anytime within 30min of waking up;
unless it's on USENET, in which case it likely doesn't matter what I say."

I guess I'd have to go with D.  :)  :)  :)

In truth, he did say it, I -was- freshly woken up by my rude neighbour
banging the floor directly above my head for no #!@&ing reason, and I
apparently overlooked the critical text in that "not quite awake" state.
Sorry about that.  I sit corrected on that one statement.  The error is
mine, I apologise.

I think we've all already made the salient point that he's likely looking
at the wrong area, and agree there.
