filepro RAM limit

Scott,

Were you using swap heavily?  That (adding RAM) would probably have
a bigger impact during the day with users logged in than for nightly
processing if the system is otherwise dry.

If not, especially the nightly processing may be disk bound not
memory bound?  Adding RAM might give you some more I/O buffers, if
configured properly, but won't do much if the disk subsystem is
saturated.
Have you tried Tune-Up or some other system analyzers, or did you
just take a SWAG at RAM being the issue?  You might be chasing the
wrong tail...?
