Some day, I'd still love to get all the Softa/MenuMaster people
together and hash out who did what...

They may not want to do that, because I'd want to ask some questions
about what the licensing status is on some of their old software (like
MenuMaster...)

Since the support status on Softa, especially on MenuMaster, was
up-in-the-air when Softa folded up, I never did do any further sales or
installations of the Softa accounting modules.

Actually, it was my partner, who ran a machine shop and was not a
filePro programmer, who got cold feet about selling any more Softa systems,
for fear of legal tangles. I couldn't blame him. A couple of our customers
asked him for technical support when I wasn't available, and complained
loudly that there were some bugs in the "new" Softa 3.0 release. He didn't
understand that it's normal to find a few bugs in new releases, but I wasn't
fixing the bugs fast enough to suit the customers, so he decided he didn't
want to be in the software business anymore.
