The DEL key typically doesn't send DEL, at least not under
xterms, I can say what Anzio or other Windows emulators do.
The DEL key on my xterm here sends \E[3~ (termcap nomenclature
whre the \E is ESC). This is an xterm running on SLES10 from a
Mac Mini desktop.
This discussion comes up periodically. IHMO, training people to
use CTRL-C instead of the SCO specific DEL is preferable as most
operating systems other than SCO use CTRL-C for interrupt.
