Since the whole world of new desktops are marching towards ubunutu...
# apt-get install putty putty-tools
# putty
0) Hold Down CTRL-key and right click window to get into settings
1) select TERMINAL
2) select KEYBOARD
3) click on Backspace key to be Ctrl-?
4) click on Function keys to be SCO
5) save all the rest of your settings (ssh, IP) as a saved_name
Create a launcher on the desktop
/usr/bin/putty -load saved_name
Let user click on icon on the desktop and have at it. Works exactly like it does
on that other operating system.
