John,

-ra is a nice flag but it only rebuild existing indexes the same way
they are currently sorted.

I think a better method is to create a script that records the indexes
and sorts when they are pristine and then use it to rebuild.

I have had many times when a customer has altered the sort on an index
or accidentaly deleted an index and without such a script you are trying
to figure out what index(s) are broken or missing.

BTW - I think Bob's script does this but I can not remember. Long ago,
I made a process to write a menu script when I need a way to rebuild
indexes, since every application I design must have a way for the end
user to rebuild indexes easily it has always been the best way to do it
for my situation. Then they have menu choices to build indexes as they
were originally designed.
