Show Popup problem

When I start a particular part of my posting routine, I hit this line of
code:

If:
Then:	show popup "Copying Attached Files From Quote To Order...Stand
By"


It never is shown on screen!

If I simply change it to use "show" instead of show popup, it is
displayed at the bottom of the screen as expected.  Am I missing
something simple about "show popup"?
