I all comes back to a pretty girl. I just got a direct mailing postcard from
Sage Software. It has a pretty girl sitting in side door opening of a VW
microbus parked 50 feet from the beach. There is a surfboard leaned against the
VW, and she's dangling her feet in the sand while typing on a Mac Powerbook. No
question, it's a Mac Powerbook.
Where this gets interesting is that the card is designed to get me to signup for
a Mas 90 learning courses, which of course is interesting since Mas90 only runs
on WindowsXP and not a Mac (but that's not the point of this message).
And the thing the John Esak will appreciate is that the cost of the videos range
from $890 for the 20 minute video to only $190 for the quick 5 minute video. Now
you do get right to view the video for 12 months, so you can watch that 20
minute video 890 times, and then it'll only cost $1 per viewing.
So John, you need to ditch the wizard stuff, and get a pretty girl. I'm thinking
then you can charge a bazillion dollars for the hundreds of hours of videos you
have created.
