(OT) Open source PCL to PDF converters?

Actually it should be noted that the ghostpcl authors have stated that when 
using ghostpcl to go from pcl to ps, it generates low level 
big-ole-page-of-raster ps, but when converting from pcl to pdf, it uses a 
lot of higher level objects, especially for text & fonts. Graphics that were 
vector based hpgl commands I'm not sure if they are maintained as vectors or 
not. Raster graphics actually suffer a downgrade to around 75 dpi even if 
the input was 300 or 600.
