Slow draw of file list...

Wow Mike! Good call.... I changed the PFFFFFDSK=C to PFDSK=C and BAN!
things started going at the speed of light again as they should.... This is
funny, because I was under the impression that on 5.6 PFDSK would not impact
things if it were gone and PFDATA pointed to your stuff. Ken mentioned to
me that PFDSK was changed in 5.6 to allow pathnames as it does under Unix...
this to allow I suppose for the UNC convention fo finding things that will
eventually drive out drive letters. :-)
Anyway, he said he would check on his system... but I am curious now... All
you have to do is take away PFDSK on a 5.6 system and watch the phenomenon I
show in the movie happen. PUt it bak and BANG! the speed is right back
again. Seeing as how there is not supposed to be any searching of A: B:
etc., as in days of old... I don't get it... but maybe he can shed some
light later on. All I know is, coming from a Unix background, I have never
used PFDSK... but under Windows, I see it is really helpful. :-)
Thanks, good ccatch....
