OT: Unix => Windoze XP printing

Yes, Windows XP contains an LPD service. It should work to send plain text 
to printers that can accept plain text. Not all can. It is also not an 
option for printing fancier output.

This is another problem that Print Wizard Server Edition (PWSE) can solve. 
In this case:

1. Disable Windows' LPD service.

2. Run PWSE's LPD service, routed to the appropriate printer, with 
"translatepcl" turned on.

If PWSE receives plain text, it will auto-fit it to the page. If it 
receives PCL-5 it will translate it and output it on any Windows-supported 
printer. 

Of course I realize that using a $300 software product in order to use an 
$89 (or whatever) printer is not logical by itself, but it also buys you 
many other capabilities, including overlay printing, PDF generation, and 
more.
