I tried to test this, but I have no access to other machines on the
one site where I use win2k3.

However, I -believe- that if a record lock is obtained, # Locks
should
rise for that file/user line.

Try opening a file via the network and using that feature I suggested
while at entsel.  Then hit update, wait a second and refresh the
Manager.  If # Locks went up, you have a course tool for finding
which
users have locks on segments of the file(s).  It won't tell you which
record is locked though, even if it indicates a lock as I theorise.

Let us know?  Sorry, I just don't have the environment to test it
myself.
