According to an article in today's Seattle Times, Apple's sales of Mac
computers in the last quarter was up about a third over the same quarter
last year (and the Seattle Times doesn't like to say anything negative
about Microsoft, this being a company town).
While we're still using Linux for all our servers, we have been moving a
large percentage of our customer's (and friend's) desktop machines to Apple
for several years now. I bought my wife a Mac Mini for her birthday almost
two years ago so I wouldn't have to deal with her old Windows box, our
daughter's been running an eMac, and I have a Mac Mini and a 15in Powerbook
which finally replaced my eight year old Thinkpad 600 which I ran Linux on
(and took to a 5 day Plone bootcamp where another student used for the
course).
