Bob:

My family went to Deep Creek Maryland for 5 days last June with our boat.
My wife was pleasantly surprised with the entire area. We lost 1.5 days
while a remnants of a hurricane came thru but made the most of the
remainder. The lake is 25-30 miles long, lots of boaters, water skiers,
fishing, etc. Accomodations run the gamut, from $1200/week cottages to
$5000/week luxury homes. There are also several lodges and hotel/motels
available as well.

More info available if interested.
