Just my 2 cents.

I would agree that tab, for most of us, should function to move between
fields.

However, if one is using Memo as a word processor, the tab would have to
work as in a word processing program.

Now there are some other possible solutions and that might be to use a
function key to close the memo window.

F9 might be a good alternative as it is in easy reach on most keyboards.
Granted this is not as easy a reach as the tab key but would not break any
code.  Most filepro users are accustomed to using the function keys for one
function or another.

Since @sk is not available when in the memo editor, the close key might be
able to be set when memo is called.

Memo edit (options,GRAF)

Again, this is just a possible alternative.
