To All filePro Survivors,

It's unbelievable, but we got 6" of snow last night, and it is snowing
heavily right now. There is no way anything is getting out of this driveway
(sheet of ice on top of the 6 inches) today, and no way FedEx or anyone else
is getting in. Those of you who were patiently waiting for the 1.0.1 CD's I
promised on Friday will have to wait another day. No one is more unhappy
about this than me.... Sorry... the best laid plans of mice and men...

I do feel though, that something is working against me here, like the
weather God! :-)

I did get some good feedback from a few of the people who are working their
packages already... the best is from Jim Ryan in California. He said, and I
quote...

"I am a long time FilePro user... and I have never seen so much work inside
of any one FilePro program, let alone the sheer amount of stuff you have in
these 4 accounting programs. It is staggering. You should be selling this
for $2500... but I'm sure glad you aren't. And I have to say you were right.
The browse program in the General Ledger is the coolest thing I've ever
seen. I wish I had this in all my programss. If I can do it, I'm going to
try and put code like yours into my order entry application, and lots of the
other stuff I've written. It's too bad about the search engine thing, I
can't wait to se it though because the CD's for the Tutorial are uterly
fantastic even without it. I've just started the course and I can't believe
how good it is. You have outdone yourself. No one in the FilePro world is
putting out stuff like this, and that is to bad because if they did, we
would have the biggest product in the whole computer industry. Thanks John,
I was kind of doubting that this stuff could be worth $600 bucks, but I
haven't even cracked the surface of any of it yet and it is far more than I
ever expected already."

Well, I couldn't *pay* for a plug like that, Jim... thanks to you. I'll look
for you in the Room or on the mailing list. Good luck... I hope you won't
mind, but I'm going to publish this note from you immediately. I won't have
to advertise at all if I keep getting responses like yours!

Take care,

John
