I could use 'par' to edit all the help files, since 'par' also abjures
tabs in favor of spaces.

But that ain't the point: TABs in the help files were perfectly well
displayed heretofor, and I don't know why some undesireable change in
the display engine embedded in all the filepro creation modules should
now compel me to futz around with a dozen help files.
