In my basic testing last November, I was able to run filePro 5.6
(as well as versions 3.0 and 1.2) on a test Vista box here without
any problem.

However:

    I did not run the actual filePro install.  I simply copied an
    existing set of filePro programs and data onto the Vista box
    and placed a new license on it.  fPTech is testing the actual
    install to see if it works, or needs to be tweaked for Vista.

    I used the standalone license server executable, rather than
    the Windows service version, since the install wasn't run to
    install the service.  Again, fPTech is testing this as part
    of the installation testing.

    Vista did not let me (even as admin) create any files in the
    root directory of C:, so "c:\fppath" could not be created by
    me.  Since the .bat file which is used to start filePro sets
    these variables in the environment, this should not be an
    issue.  This could be an issue, however, if your processing
    attempts to create files (such as exports) there.
