Looking for some Linux advice

Mark,
You have very valid points, but they also miss a few things.
First of all, I try to give back when I feel I can. The fact that my
knowledge of FP and that many of the questions and solutions people ask
here are related to Linux means that it is not that often that I feel I
can add.
Secondly, you are correct that I am looking for assistance from others
who have more experience than me, that is the point of a group like this.
I have noticed that when you get upset you spend a lot of time venting
on your keyboard. That is fine as it is your choice. But to do so
complaining that my questions is somehow stealing time from others is
rather ironic. That you then spent time to go back to verify that you
feel your wasting your time is even more so.
Responding to simple questions is voluntary as is pointing people to
different sources (like the good suggestions for where to get Samba
information and help), answering the questions directly, or merely
informing someone that this is not the place to do so.
Obviously I got under your skin somehow for which I am sorry. Not
because of your rants, but because it was not my intention.
Maybe someday you'll have a question for which I may have the answer.
If so I would be glad to help.
Boaz
