Richard, I guess your comments would be better suited for my previous
Tip of the day! This last post, to which you replied, addresses the use
of show and cls as a balance to msgbox(), errorbox(), popup and browse-lookup.
I agree with you as far as the ability of using msgbox() and errorbox()
and placing these messages on a given X,Y point on your screen plus, the
option to capture input. I mentioned most of this on my previous tip but
countered that if you used popup instead, you have all that without the bulky
code. As far as color is concerned, if you had Laura's screen painter, you
can have any color combination no matter which OS you are running on (again,
no intended as a plug! 8-) ).
You did get my attention when you mentioned "not closing properly". Could you
please elaborate? I did not know you needed more than 'clearp' to clear/close a
popup screen. I have never ran into the error you are referring to and I am
not sure what you mean by "close the function". I know that if you try to popup
a screen while one is open, you get an error ... (not even sure if you still do
in current versions). Are you referring to show_popup which allows you to stack
them and close them individually?
Thanks,
