Ken answered:

It sounds to me like your Linux is too old, and doesn't have glibc
vesion 2.3 available. (It's not libtermcap, as the error message
says it's libc.)

Scott says:

This install has been running 5.0.14 for quite some time with no
problems.
If I am going to use 5.0.15 and 5.6 I need a document telling me the
minimum requirements. I have been told in the past that libtermcap.so.2
must be present on the Linux box. Other than that, I don't remember any
other stated requirements. Now I am adding glibc version 2.3 to my list
of requirements. Are there others or do I just install 5.0.15 on a
customers system, try to run it, get an error, tell the system
integrator to install something else, run 5.0.15, get another error,
talk to the system integrator again, etc.

I guess what I'm asking for is this:

A document that states that for a system that has been successfully
running fp 5.0.14 on a Linux or SCO Unix server, if we are going to move
to fp 5.0.15 or 5.6, what do I need to make sure is installed on the
server beyond what was needed to run fp 5.0.14 (which has been running
successfully on these boxes for years).

Does such a document exist? It would really help.

Regards,

Scott
