What do you have TERM set to?  Make sure it's "ansi" or "cansi".  (Or
PFTERM, if you're using that.)

Well, it would be "comp.databases.filepro", and the subject comes up
every few years.  The general consensus appears to be to keep it off
of Usenet, for a variety of reasons.
