In that case, I assume you have a bunch of .pcl files?  That is, files
with the PCL code in them to image the letterhead graphics in question,
which are called in by printcodes?

If so, then when you likelt need to do is find a graphic editor that
can *read* PCL graphics files as well as writing them.

I'm not sure what can do that, honestly.  And I don't remember whether
ImageMagick (or GraphicsMagick) can convert *out* of PCL into something
you can edit -- I think I remember that it can't.

Converting back is easy, as others have noted; mkpcl is great stuff.
