I already own Jim's MkPCL program. If I do have to go back to the
original docs, I will probably use Jim's MkPCL to create the new PCL files.
The thing that escapes me is: How do I take the resulting .PCL file and
turn it into an overlay (.OVL) file, so that it can be sent to the laser
printer with a command like: "lp -dhplaser lethead1.ovl" ?

I need to control which macro# this file ends up.

Once these overlays are sent to the lasers from the Unix box each
morning, they must reside in the lasers all day long, because users are able
to call these from Windows machines using Microsoft Word without actually
having a copy of the macro(s) on their individual Windows computers.

I may look into HPGL, but I'm not sure that this would work with all
the other software applications at this customer (not only filepro).

Thanks,

Mike
