And it doesn't come back if you do the exact same thing again?
(Including changing the key fields.)

In that case, I would have to guess that the index was already
corrupt, and it was coincidence that you got the error right
after recoding this section.

If it does happen when redoing the exact same thing, then you
need to answer the questions above.
