I had this problem once before some years ago at one client site. But I was
running Wind NT 4.0 and fp 4.8.
This only happened with one file which created ASN's. Since this was a
fairly large file, I created qualifiers for each customer and each clerk
handled different customer orders, this solved 2 problems. I didn't run
into the multi-user problem in the file and it kept the data smaller.
Now more to the point,
1. does your windows 2000 have all of the patches/service paks installed.
2. Which release for 5.0 are you running?
Have you shut down and restarted the whole system; server and workstations?
