...and when you buy Barry's board... buy the 64 port Equinox SST board I
tried to sell here once and *did* sell on eBay until the buyer never sent
the check. :-( :-) I was happy and sad over this because he had won the
bid for $125, and this board with its included outlying 4 boxes holding 16
RJ45 ports each cost north of $1,000 maybe $1295 or so when we bought it
back in the day... I believe somewhere around 1997? I'm not sure we even
used it because we had a 128 version as well and I can't remember this one
actually ever being in service. It may have just been a "spare" for fast
swap! However, unlike Barry, I did not keep the box or docs. Drivers are
available on the net for SCO/Linux/Windows. Either one of these boards is a
complete steal at whatever offer comes in (in my case, that is). It's just
the kind of beautifuly made equipment you can not bring yourself to toss
into the garbage bin! I'd rather keep it on my shelf until I die. :-) (Mine
has a short cable and a 100' cable for the outlying group of boxes which
attach together. I'll pay shipping. email me at my address shown on this
message with Equinox in the subject so I don't toss it out without reading
your bid. First come, first serve I guess. God, I hate this. :-( But, I
will be glad if someone here gets it rather than have it lie around on my
shelves gathering dust.

P.S. By the way, these boards, Barry's too I think, can run not only modems
at their highest speed, but serial terminals like Wyse 50's at what for them
is huge speed 38,400 and 56k and even higher I believe. (Yes printers too,
of course, but you would need some adapters and RJ cables (which I'll throw
in a few of also since they are laying around with the card.) :-)
God, maybe I should just drive this board to your house as well.
