Still OT: Destroying CDs/DVDs

I've made the test at work.  A standard business class shredder (not the little five-sheets-max personal machines from Staples) will chew a CD-R into bits.  Probably voids the warranty, but the one at work is ten years past warranty (and when we were moving out the old copier I found a sealed bottle of shredder lubricant that's apparently as old as the machine).
