Four score and seven years--eh, screw that!

I never use IE unless there's something that just WILL NOT work in Firefox.
There are two things so far that won't work: CNN.com video (their controls
don't detect Media Player 9, even though it's present and I have ActiveX
installed in Firefox--and every other site seems to play video just fine
through Firefox), and Baen Books' Webscription service downloads. The
latter just refuses to download correctly on most of their files with
FlashGot and GetRight in the mix, and I hate to have to uninstall FlashGot
just to download a few books. I've tried the alt-shift-click and it still
uses GetRight, even though that's supposed to tell FlashGot not to.

That's only funny until you know someone that's epileptic. You start to be
really aware of a lot of muzzle flash and other flashy things in shows and
movies and such. The whole last 20min of Alien from the time they start
the engine self-destruct procedure is like a seizure waiting to happen, for
instance, but I never used to notice that part of it.
There's enough to avoid on TV for someone that has to; I'd just as soon it
didn't translate into web sites. Someone's going to get a nasty surprise
one day. :(
