Yes,  I would say that it is a very powerful, functional printer.  
 
Please reference  HP's site,  the below link will get you to the HP SPECs
page which outlines the capabilities of the PCL, postscript, etc. of this
(looks like a fantastic printer).

Does any one happen to know if the HP Color LaserJet 2800 All-in-one
(printer,copier,scanner) has the inherent ability to perform the
necessary printer processing or is it dependent upon the using PC to
create the final print stream?  I fear that it would not be useful in
an office environment if each PC had to do the printer's work.
