  I have a customer who bought a thermal transfer Star receipt printer
  with automatic paper cutter, running Windows XP, filepro 5.0.xx.

  I am telling the printer to use the panasonic print codes in filePro
  same as does customer's old dot matrix Star printer.

  The data output from filePro prints fine, but the cutter bar is not
  being actuated.

  Hex code for paper cutter is said to be $1B 64 n

  I have inserted this into the panasonic printer maintenance codes and
  inserted that code on the receipt output format

  This does not actuate the paper cutter.......

  Can anyone tell me what I should be doing to make the cutter bar actuate?
