Printing a file with print codes in it

I need to be able to print files that have been created by filePro by
'printing' them to the local hard drive of the PC. These files are created
using a printer setup in the individual configuration files like this:

printer1=Local,hp-9xx,\\tsclient\c\temp\printfile.txt,Local print file

The XP Pro PCs that need this special handling are connected to a Windows
2003 R2 Terminal Server via a VPN that does not support the server 'seeing'
the local printer(s) on the remote PCs. (Locally connected Terminal
Services clients can print to their local printers just fine.)
(\\tsclient\printername doesn't seem to work.)

The output file seems to contain all the needed print codes from filePro you
would expect to see but when printed to the local printer, the codes print
instead of execute. I've tried various drivers for the local printer I'm
using as a test - an HP DJ5550, but nothing seems to make it print in
formatted mode rather than print the codes as part of the text.

Has anyone addressed this issue before and found an acceptable solution?

Thanks,
Steve Wiltsie
