It is important that you put the PFOUTS value in your environment.
Check out the right values on the Survivor CD in the PFOUTS chapter... don't remember them offhand.
You must set PFOUTS to hold the baud,bits,parity, comport and so on. I think 1 is com1, 2 com2. ON Unix, these would be tty1A, tty2A and so on. Sorry, for not being exact... these days I don't remember anything I can look up... it saves room for jokes.
