Well, at that point, the question becomes "Are there management
utilities for that controller, and what version of Linux do they run
on?"
Google is not immediately availing, but while you should probably
safely expect the controller to be addresses by Linux, if you need
user-space management utilities, you'll have to hunt them down.
If the ROM controls are enough for you, then Bob's your uncle.
