I have a customer who is running filePro 5.0 on Linux with
the following problem.... All printing works except for
the alignment check. It comes out at the begining of the
next print job. I suspect that the print spooler may need
a tweaking, but I am no Linux expert....
Here are some details (my questions - the user's answers):
--------------------------------------------
1. What printer are you using?
Serial, parallel, or USB?
-PARALLEL
2. How is it defined in Define Printers? (the name, type and
destination)
PRINTER3 home, ibmpro, lp -dhome -s, homeprinter
3. The printer prints ok with the exception of the alignment check?
(y/n)
(please give me details if "no")
YES
4. Version of filePro?
FILEPRO FOR LINUX 5.0
5. Flavor of Linux and version? (include output of "uname -a")
REDHAT ENTERPRISE; LINUX VERSION 4, WORKSTATION
UNAME -A
Linux/localhost.local domain 2.6 9-5 ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jan 5, 19:30:39
EST 2005 16 i686 i386 GNU/LINUX
--------------------------------------------
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
