Mark,
Why in the world do you waste time writing such stuff. If you had no
interest in the project/position/request... why comment at all? Do you
*really* think this gentleman did something so horrible that you need to
take him to task for putting a simple (and much wanted) request for filePro
help on this list? If you were interested, you should simply have contacted
this person and I'm sure you would have been given all the particulars you
are bashing him for not stating here. It's not the right place to put them
anyway. If you are not "self-respecting" enough as you say to even consider
doing such work, why put up this note? What purpose does it serve? None, I
think.
To any other filePro/web-designing programmer... ahem... this is the kind of
request that I used to jump on when I was a consultant. I have no idea who
this individual is or what his needs are.... but if you are making your
living doing filePro/web stuff, wouldn't it behoove you to at least check it
out *before* bashing (or if that is too harsh a word) denigrating the
style and content of the offer/request? I hope so. I think that just might
be the difference between making $300,000 a year and $30,000 a year. :-)
