browse lookup phenomenon

I am on filePro 4.8.14D4 with IBM AIX UNIX.

Interesting problem just discovered after all these years.

I have created many browse lookups over the years. We have only recently
discovered a problem.

Normally, in a browse lookup you can scroll up and down to see the files
displayed. One of my managers just brought to my attention that their users
could scroll up and down only once. If they scrolled to the top of the file
and tried to scroll back down they could only go as far as the bottom of
their screen. When they scrolled up they would go into the next lower record
if the browse lookup was based upon a record number.

IDENTIFIED PROBLEM: The processing the users complained of was processing
that they had been using for years. But------ that day I had just moved the
processing from "input" processing to a "chained" process. It works
perfectly in input but not in the chained processing.

Then I find out that this has been happening on other browse lookups.
Further investigation revealed that those were all chained also.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? If so, has it been fixed in the
newer versions as we will be on 5.0 shortly.
