Is it just me, or did J. P. Radley say:

Dearly beloved... *laugh* I wish BellSouth would keel over, some days.
Then again, AT&T is trying to buy them. There's something -wrong- with
that deal, and I hope anti-trust stops it. First, they sell their wireless
to Cingular--a joint venture between BellSouth and SBC. Now they're trying
to buy BellSouth, which would net them Cingular as well, plus reunite them
with another of the Baby Bell's that they were originally forced by the
courts to spin out. This will be the third such to be reabsorbed, if I
remember last week's article correctly.
Actually, AT&T was stopping offering LD service--and BellSouth had started
offering their own. So now if AT&T gets them back, they'll be back in the
LD business in at least 9 states again.
There's something unsettling about this whole arrangement.
