*IF* you can keep your existing phone number it's a no brainer. In my case, a
vonage # would be a long distance call for my next door neighbors.
I had bought the AT&T router last fall because Vonage said I would have to get a
long distance #, but AT&T said I could keep my number. As I was installing the
software the last click before I accepted the terms it finally told me I would
have to change to a long distance # instead of keeping my number.

I p*ssed and moaned about it, and got the answer that Sprint refuses to allow
local number portablity in this area. Evidently the telcos have areas that they
can protect.
