If you don't "already" play, I wouldn't do that if I were you, which
I'm not... but, I have seen many pick an instrument... wait, get it,
and either never learn, or find out it doesn't really suit them for
any number of reasons. You can get a decent starter package for
under $250 and some under $200 to get your feet wet. Once you have
gotten to the point you can play and know what you would like it to
feel/sound like, then go shopping. You might just find the dream of
today will not match the reality of tomorrow even if funds aren't an
issue.
I ran into this same thing in the mid seventies while doing some
acoustic guitar work. Everyone was all high on Ovations and for a
while I was going to join that crowd. I finally got a chance to
have one in my possession for a couple of days and could never get
comfortable with the rounded back, either sitting or standing. That
is why all these years later I still have my Yamaha FG-300 and if I
needed anything better it would be an authentic Gibson Dove or
Hummingbird without a single thought regardless of the cost, period.
