I hate those schemes anywhere.  The worst (and I haven't had to do it with
Google in ages--maybe since I used adwords) is that with many, many places,
the font they have you trying to read in the graphic is NOT suited to being
interpreted easily.  They'll also put it against a background with a grid,
or dots, or whatever--presumably to fool OCR software.

Unfortunately, I'm -sighted- and still fail probably 30%+ of those kinds
of verifications the first and maybe even second time through until I get
characters generated that are actuall distinguishable.  The whole 1 versus
l, f vs t, 6 vs G, etc., is all very difficult in most representations even
when you -can- see.  Some of these may as well be Rorshach tests.

To me, that speaks of lousy design in the first place.  I'm more than happy
to sign the petition!
